This mini DNA molecular kit provides an easy-to-understand introduction to DNA structure. The kit includes abstract-shaped, color-coded components that represent the nitrogenous bases, pentagonal sugar, and pyramidal phosphate parts found in the DNA double helix. Each component is designed to fit only in its correct position; for example, thymine pairs only with adenine.

The model can be constructed on the stand with or without the provided separators. It can also be uncoiled and “unzipped” to form two separate DNA strands, helping students better visualize DNA replication.
