Human body is the most amazing machine ever created. Our body is made up of trillions of neurons, cells which carry ‘information’, food, oxygen in the body. There are 206 bones and 78 major organs in a human body. Or more bones in a tyrannosaurus.

You don’t have to be seriously interested in medicine or plan to be a doctor to know more about the body. Just be curious and passionate to explore !!!

Once you consider human anatomy as your passion it’s time to decide how you will study the subject matter. A proven way to see human anatomy is to take it as a whole itself. Human anatomy is made up of human systems such as the Skeletal, Muscular, Circulatory, Nervous, Urinary and Respiratory systems. These systems are related to each other and will interact in many ways. Your goal will be to study how these systems are connected with each other. If you see the importance of the connection, you will easily understand how each systems work together.

In the next step, you may need to study the human anatomy system to find out which system / organ interests you the most. Try to study every detail about it until you reach the system that excites you the most. Work one system at a time until you master every detail. In doing so, you are trying to make a connection. Perhaps you will need to jot down notes. You will be coming across many medical terms and in jotting them down, it helps you remember if not memorize many of the terms. You may also want to add descriptions to determine which is which and associate the names with images. Though it requires mental abilities, but you can have the skills mastered in no time.

Now that you have the knowledge about human anatomy, perhaps you may need to test yourself. There are testing materials you can take online. You may also want to check between the connections of all the human systems you have studied. From time to time, you may need to review what you have learned so you won’t forget what you have studied. You may also want to refer to online resources to expand your knowledge on human anatomy.

To make it easier and simpler, you may want to buy human body models. It’s a model that is similar to what you find in your school. These come in different levels for every detail. Just choose those that fit your needs.
